Surplus charging with AC MAX

Surplus charging with AC MAX

For private use, Delta offers the AC MAX Wallbox with up to 22 kW charging power. With the AC MAX app for iOS and Android, you can conveniently start and monitor the charging process of your electric car.

If a compatible external power meter is connected directly to the charging station, the maximum charging current can be limited dynamically. This is based on the cut-off current of the upstream fuse. For this purpose, the AC MAX reads the current power consumption at the power meter at regular intervals and adjusts the charging current so that power connection of the house is not overloaded.

If a solar system is installed, the AC MAX - like other consumer devices - can be operated with solar power. In addition, surplus charging is possible. In this case, the other power consumers in the household are preferentially supplied with solar power. Surplus solar energy can be used for charging if the charging current is at least 6 A per charging phase. This works for single-phase, two-phase and three-phase charging. The AC MAX takes care of everything so you can relax and go about your normal activities.

By combining a Delta solar inverter with a Delta AC MAX charging station, you get the optimum yield from your private solar system and make a significant contribution to environmental protection.
